FAQs

  1. How long does a Unipass last for?

A Unipass is valid for a one year period, starting from the day it is collected.

  2. How will I know when my Unipass is due for renewal?

You will be sent a reminder via email 30 days before your Unipass is due to expire, which will contain renewal instructions.

  3. What do I do when my Unipass is renewed?

You collect your new Unipass from our website in almost exactly the same way as you collected and installed your original one.

First log into My Toolbox on the Unipass website. If you use Internet Explorer, you’ll need to log in with your Unipass, but users of Firefox and other Netscape based browsers may log in using their email address and memorable date. Once there, click on the renew my unipass link1 on the left hand side of the page and follow the instructions there.

During the renewal process, Microsoft Internet Explorer users will need to download a small piece of software from VeriSign, which makes the process easier by listing the certificates on your PC which are eligible for renewal. Simply click on your Unipass in the list, click a button, and the renewal will happen automatically.

Firefox and Netscape users are not able to use the VeriSign software, and require to enter a PIN. To obtain the PIN, please call the Unipass Helpdesk on on 0871 22 12345.
